One of the most important parts of being a parrot owner or flock leader is educating yourself on the dos and don'ts of parrot ownership. Go through this section to learn what you need to know BEFORE you adopt.

There is so much bad information out there that even the best-intending owners make terrible mistakes that result in aggressiveness or injury or worse.

Part of our adoption process is to educate prospective owners on proper care of these beautiful creatures.

We will provide you with some links and INFORMATION  here but strongly encourage you to DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. There are so many websites and FaceBook groups that are giving bad advice ... do NOT take this advice as gospel.

• Look things up for yourself and find collegiate or medical sources

• Ask your Veterinarian and if what he/she tells you doesn't make sense ... find a new Vet

• Work on training, play, enrichment, and developing a relationship
